Hey there! I found this design recently, and it really got my attention, that's why I'm writing this. Despite this is my first critique...

Jeweler's Dapping Tools
A small toolkit I made for my dear girlfirend, comtaining three dapping tools with different sizes based on her request. The marks show her name in Dovah language as well as some information about each one.

Material: 1.4410 Super duplex stainless steel
Size: Ø65mm, height 20mm each.
Tools used: SolidWorks 2015, AutoCAD 2017, Lathe, Felt polisher, CNC laser engraver
Took about 8 hours of work alltogether, not counting the time it took for the processing steps.
Hi there! This piece is really eye catching, and I felt motivated to share my opinion about it.

At first glance, the picture is really impulsive, shocking. I really like the lighting, the shadows on the ship, and the detailed hull. I was also pleased to see the balanced composition: the two main objects of interest occupy the two 1/3 of the picture on its two sides. A good placement!

On the other hand, I am puzzled about the scene. Why would as hip of this size engage in a firefight at such a close, almost direct range? Why is it circling about the enemy units? Such an approach would be expected by a bigger gunship with serious armor and firepower. I would find it more likely for this ship to do "hit-and-run" attacks, fly over them with great spead and drop a couple of bombs or guided missiles on the unexpecting targets, and then pull up and retreat before they strike back.

Furthermore, after a little more examination, I found the ground to be somewhat dull - to me it looks like the terrain of a video game from the 2000's, with repetative texture.

Well, these are my thoughts, hope it can be of some use to you! :)
Hey there dear reader! I do not know how you ended up here, but now that you did, please take a minute or two to look at this post:

What are you looking for? I don't have much art to share

You were mentioned in an another artist's deviation (I think it was a commission) and I always click on people that others mention to give one of their pieces a comment as well :D But seeing as you didn't have any I could find, I just said hello :)

Yes, that is correct. I am so lucky that I own a masterpiece from TwilightSaint! Well than, thank you and welcome! :) I don't have art to share right now, and even though I am working on something (progress is slow due to the lack of time - being a responsible adult sucks), it won't be that artistic either. Awesome it will be however! :P
